In 2021, there was a year-to-year 29% drop in home foreclosures. In Central Florida, 2021 foreclosures dropped compared to 2019.
Many thought one of the results of releasing the pandemic moratorium on foreclosures would lead to a large increase in foreclosures during 2021. That did not happen.
Many believe the increase in equity resulted in suspect homes being sold instead of going to foreclosure.
