The Florida Housing Program called Hometown Heroes has been very successful. The first $100 million funding was able to help over 6,700 Heroes purchase a home in Florida. Effective July 1, 2023, another $100 million will be provided to further this program for more homeowners to purchase a home in Florida. This program provides down payment and closing cost assistance. This program is now available to first-time homebuyers that meet the eligibility requirements.
