Waiting for Foreclosures due to the Pandemic? Wait no more.
Thu, Feb 3rd 2022 8:24 am by David Shippey Winter Haven NewsIn 2021, there was a year-to-year 29% drop in home foreclosures. In Central Florida, 2021 foreclosures dropped compared to 2019.
Many thought one of the results of releasing the pandemic moratorium on foreclosures would lead to a large increase in foreclosures during 2021. That did not happen.
Many believe the increase in equity resulted in suspect homes being sold instead of going to foreclosure.

Homeowner associations are sometimes strict on sheds, fencing, paint colors, landscaping, what you are allowed to do in the community, boats, RV, trailers, 4 Wheelers, etc.
Homeowner associations started increasing in the mid 1980s partly as an effort to keep up the communities and maintain property values. However, some of them have become very strict. I encourage you to check the community around the home you are considering and see if it meets with your expectations.
